What's a Baguette

Well I thought handbags were just handbags? Now I find out that this is not true.
lets go through some of the styles - we'll start with the Baguette, this is what i found; any thoughts?

These bags are available the typical rectangular style among other styesl and colors. Baguettes are typically available in fine italian leather depending on the designer could become quite pricey.
